PRODUCER, Larry Wright was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He manifested remarkable musical ability at a very young age with several instruments including piano. Still very young, he was invited to write songs for a female vocalist, formerly a back up singer for Ray Charles. While in the studio singing one of the songs for her, the Producer of the project was listening and decided to have him featured on the album along with the female vocalist. Casablanca Records released the resulting album (“Wright Brothers Flying Machine”).

Later, Wright composed the song “I’m A Child” which was just for fun, and included four-year-old Sara. When this song and three others made their way to the Walt Disney Company, Wright was invited to write songs for several projects of theirs. This led to music of his being recorded by Walt Disney Records.

Many of the tunes not used by (but written for) Disney later became the material for “8 Steps to Student Success!”—an educational musical presentation enjoyed by thousands and thousands of children throughout California.

In 1990 Wright wrote the musical themes to the Animal Adoption program: “The Pet Place TV Show”. He's now VP of the show, which is responsible for saving the lives of thousands of animals for over 18 years to date. At the request of the show's appreciative viewers, Wright wrote and produced the CD: “We’re A Family—Songs For Animals and You”. One of the songs,“The Moanin Dove” was nominated for the esteemed Genesee Award.

Wright is also now a proud member of Cedars-Sinai Hospital's “Music for Healing” volunteer program where he is much acclaimed as pianist.

Having performed in many venues including stores like Barnes & Noble and Borders bookstores, with a number of TV and Radio appearances, Wright has also produced musical project: “DUKE and the Winter ANIMALS” and as “DUKE LONDON” he often performs in a live show loosely based on the new CD. It features (prominently) his partner, Jimbo (a Koala), who sings along with him!

Other animal characters and the values incorporated in the songs offer much to each listener. The result is an always-delighted audience regardless of the ages (4 to 90 and younger) of the “kids” present in it.

And look for the BRAND NEW written and audiobook series based on and named after the cd "DUKE and the Winter ANIMALS".  It's first volume: "The Arctic Fox" (an excerpt available on this site).
